“Dark Knight Rises,” kills 12-16 people at midnight opening showing in Aurora, Colorado, 9 miles east of Denver. A gunman dressed in a SWAT uniform or costume, bullet proof vest, gas mask with 4 guns found & now recovered. Assault weapon, rifle and 2 handgun sprays tear gas or a flash bomb and bullets to a packed house with movie patrons where 50 more people were injured, over a dozen confirmed dead.
The gunman entered though the side exit. He could have been in the movie theater before so he could have returned to do his deadly terrorist plan. Anyone who attends movies know of the exit doors. He has said to thrown two gas canisters in crowd upon entry before shooting. He remained calm thoughout his horrendous act witness described.
The gunman is to have said walked at the corner of the screen after the previews, threw canisters shot-gun(s) and then walked into the lobby where people were huddled, running out the building to save their life.
James Holmes, born December 13, 1987, is a 24-year-old white male with clean record and no links to terrorism. is now in police custody. The police found him at a car in the back of the theater. Did he run out of automatic ammunition?
Law enforcement of three different agencies is now searching the suspects apartment for bombs explosives and other weapon of destruction. Shooter told police he had explosives both in his car and in his home.
Was it a premeditated action, I believe it was.
Movie theaters will now have to identify their procedures for entry and exits due to this horrific crime. Did he act alone? This has not yet been verified. Will the movie opening suffer as a copy cat person might perform the same mass murder theater.

The woman “immediately expressed concern” that her son may have been involved in the mass shooting even though authorities hadn’t contacted her, ABC News reported today.
“You have the right person,” she told ABC.
“I need to call the police,” she added. “I need to fly out to Colorado.” Her conversation with ABC was brief; there were no further details.

There is no excuse. Madness had taken possession of our society. What worries me is the impact because the people who would not want to waste the opportunity of this crisis will use it to attack politically. That is also a reality and one I fear. I have sadness for the victims. I can’t help them but I also know the monstrous minds of those who would take advantage of this will do more harm for their own agenda.

It is amazing that he was book smart. So now the question becomes what caused him to cross over? His apartment was booby-trapped. I suspect that he has been mentally sick for many years.

One of those injured was a three-month old baby with ages ranging up to 45-years-old
A nine-year old girl with gunshot wounds to her back was carried out by an officer
Several are still in critical condition – Denver Health Center had six patients from the shooting with one in critical condition while five were fair
Swedish Health Center had three victims – Two in critical and one in fair, a fourth victim was on the way
Parker Adventist Hospital had two with minor injuries

One of the stories the Denver stations are following this morning is the story of Jessica Ghawi, an aspiring sportscaster who was killed in this morning’s Colorado movie theater shooting.
Ghawi, who used the name Jessica Redfield, was a former intern at KDVR, according to the Fox-affiliate’s live blog. She was a sports blogger for Busted Coverage who also kept a blog of her own. Shooting Cancels Paris Premiere Of The Dark Knight Rises

The event at a movie theater on the French capital’s famed Champs-Elysees Avenue was supposed to include director Christopher Nolan and stars like Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine.
But on Friday afternoon, workers were pulling down the red carpet display. Some could be seen carrying away a large mask that had adorned the facade of the theater.
Warner Bros. said in a statement that it was also canceling all media interviews in the city. The studio said it was “deeply saddened” by the shooting.

Pentagon: Military casualties in Colo. shooting
The Pentagon says that some members of the military were either killed or wounded in the Colorado shooting at the Batman movie.
Pentagon press secretary George Little said that it’s not yet clear how many military casualties there were, or specifically whether they were killed or injured.
