To My Son Jordan, Thank You For A Brilliant Birthday.

Yes, I had to give Jordan a place on my blog. He was my chief photographer.  Jordan took his Mother up to New York City, carried her heavy gym bag throughout the city, from mid- town to upper West side, SoulCycle to Steps, back and forth on the subway. Down to Times Square,  as we watched Cliff Lee in the 5th, pitch @ Ruby Tuesday’s during 2013 All Star Game and boarded the train back home.  We were day 4-5th day in sweltering heat wave. But it is always sunny on my birthday. The concrete jungle of the Big Apple was hot as heck. The car stalled before we got on highway to NYC and we pushed it to the side waited 10 minutes. (BTW, his Mother is an old motor head, first car was a 326, 67′ Firebird)  He looked and said, “No way.”  I replied, “As soon as we get on 295 North, God’s Angels will take care of the car with their wings, let’s go.” He believed, as did I. We proceeded to Hamiliton Train Station exceeding the speed of 90 mph and boarded NJ Transit to Penn Station. Then as we got on the 11:05pm train back home as he had work the next day. We laughed so hard at some of the photos we took, I almost wet my skirt. ( Oh I had the back up camera, just in case the primary lost juice, it did.)

Thank you Jordan. God Bless You.  This was the best gift ever. No card necessary. I had a blast.  I do not want the summer to end.

I know you carry a heavy heart right now.  Just give it to God.  HE will take care of all your worries.  That is what I do. You just got to believe.

Sidewalks Chalk 1st Anniversary, July 5, 2013.

I believe I was brainstorming that morning for a name. Sidewalk chalk was taken so I went with the plural.  I remember as a child I used to chalk the streets of Philadelphia with color, to play hopscotch or just write anything (cursive) on the concrete pavement and streets.

I remember marking my name, Donna in the 1960’s.  But when the rain came it washed the chalk  away.

Also, the endless pairs of sneakers that hung on the wires of the Streets of Philadelphia.  Yes, I had a pair of white canvas Chuck Taylor’s on a corner somewhere.

How I came up with the name Spellbound84, it was the launch of my Professional Dance Career.  A Dick Foster Production, Spellbound in 1984, Glen Mills PA, Encore Dinner Theater, Pulsations Nightclub Complex.

Remember every picture tells a story.

Thank you Jordan for helping me with the development of my blog.

Also, Muse for constant words of encouragement.

God has blessed my blog.

.

Blessings : ).

When life knocks you down, roll over and look at the stars! <3

93.3 WMMR  Trivia, Name 5 Rock Bands With Colors In Their Names.

I was walking by Independence Mall Today. The 4th of July festivities have begun in Philadelphia, PA.  The first capital of the USA, if you forgot.

How do I get one of those T-shirts? Black Crows, Black Keys, Blue Oyster Cult, Pink Floyd, and Simply Red.

I was the first winner of the day. Yes, 93.3 WMMR Rocks.

Do you know what the logo in the middle of the T-shirt is? I knew right away.

Then I stumble upon synchronicity of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and Pink Floyd’s ‘Dark side of the Moon’  Wow.

Bruno: Daulton Had Trouble Speaking Before Diagnosis Click Here

Email: Daulton’s girlfriend, Amanda, told Bruno that the former All-Star catcher wanted everyone to know that he’s really positive and to send positive vibes. The radio station has set up an email address where people can do just that. The address is Dutch@975thefanatic.com.

Other Facebook tribute pages are popping up encouraging use of the Twitter hashtags #PrayersForDutch, #GetWellDutch and #RightOnFightOn, referring to Daulton’s oft-used response to fans and radio show callers.

A Statement Regarding Darren Daulton 97.5 the Phantic

Darren Daulton has not been feeling well over the past two weeks. He went to the doctor who discovered two brain tumors and is scheduled for surgery early next week.  Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family at this difficult time. Of course we want to respect his privacy at a time like this, but if you would like to send him get well wishes you may do so at dutch@975thefanatic.com

I am currently in shock, disbelief. I was listening the Phanic on the way home But tonight there was no.97.5 FM called “Talking Baseball with Dutch,” which airs weeknights during the season. I heard the on air personality talk about a person in grave ill. Dear Lord. I knew Darren from 1990-1992, when he caught for my two friends, Jason Grimsley and Terry Mulholland.

Darren, I just went to my local Mall to find a shirt of yours.  I will find one tomorrow. All of Philadelphia is praying for your recovery.
