Dolphin Mourns dead baby calf, carries it on her back for days. On July 8, a mother dolphin was spotted with her calf in Sanniang Bay of Qinzhou City in Southern China. The mother appeared to be helping her calf stay afloat. And when a tourist vessel got close enough to see the baby, they saw that it was dead.
It had a long cut across its belly, probably from a boat propeller. Tourist boats often go dolphin spotting in nearby waters.
After several encounters with dolphins mourning their dead or nearly dead, scientists are starting to think that not only do dolphins grieve, they are also aware of their own mortality.

These are beautiful animals that GRIEVE, just like humans.
Working on cruise ships, they would follow the side of the ship in the middle of the sea.
Maybe there an engineer can produce a safely cage around the engines that do not harm sea life. It could protect this from occurring. since we are in their world, the SEA!

Many years ago we took our boat from MD to FL and the dolphins would swim right beside the boat, we could see the blow hole. My son was in awe of the “big fish”. They are magnificant creatures.
I know many wash up dead now on the east coast, due to pollution. I know the Cruise Ships dumped @4am garbage from the back deck, right into the Ocean.
they do it in the dark so they are not caught by the Coast guard.
Just to save a few bucks they poison sea life. My hubby has a saying when we go through blighted places that were once beautiful, “See what humans do.” I cleaned that up a bit!
