Colorado massacre movie massacre murder suspect, James Holmes purchased all guns and ammunition legally in the past two months, it has been reported.
“All the weapons that he possessed, he possessed legally,” Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates said. “And all the clips that he possessed, he possessed legally. And all the ammunition that he possessed, he possessed legally.”
A 100-round drum magazine was recovered at the scene.
Holmes purchased $300 of equipment, such as an 100-round drum magazine, magazine pouches and a knife, on July 2.
Holmes’ gun purchases include:
— On May 28, six days after buying the first Glock, he purchased the shotgun from Bass Pro Shops in Denver.
— On June 7, Holmes bought the AR-15 assault rifle at a Gander Mountain store in Thornton, Colo.
— On July 6, Holmes returned to the Bass Pro Shops store in Denver and bought the other Glock pistol.

I am in NJ, can’t carry State Law. Never shot a gun. But do I wish I had one in my home, You bet. my state deters you from acquiring one many months, shooting range, have to be completed in order to obtain a gun,
I understand someones 2nd amendment rights as an American.
But how can someone legally purchased all these rounds of amino?
There should be a law stopping people from acquiring all this amino at one time.
No internet sales.
A National Database must be in place to Red Flag individuals. Just get a programers to make software.
just my initial thoughts.
How about instead of after every major shooting we talk about the need to fund mental health instead of talking about gun rights?
Yes, it was all premeditated. No one should be able to purchase this much amino.! I question that, not the guns.
I agree with Newt on this. Why can’t they understand that you can’t make guns illegal, the criminals will get guns anyway they can. Do you believe that Jackson doesn’t have guns!
Just like in Gifford’s shooting ( if someone had a gun and took him out, lives would have been spared!)
Rep. Gohmert: Did No One Else in Aurora Theater Have a Gun?
The shooting could have been limited if someone else in the Aurora, Colo., movie theater had been carrying a gun, Texas Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert said today.
Gohmert reacted to the shooting, which left 12 dead, during an interview this morning on the radio program Ernest Istook Live! From The Heritage Foundation.

I had a purse that was a “gun” purse it was made to put your pistol close to you and easy to get to. Long ago the rules were, in FL, you had to have 3 distinct steps to get to your gun for it to be legal in your car. It was very easy to do.
Investigators track Colo. shooting suspect’s ammo shipments
Sources say investigators have found key evidence in dumpsters and trash bins outside of James Holmes’ apartment, including a shipping label from an internet ammunition store called BulkAmmo.com.
Investigators also tell CBS News they have recovered a surveillance video of James Holmes picking up approximately 150 pounds of ammunition at a Federal Express outlet in Colorado.
They’ve interviewed a UPS driver who says Holmes had 90 packages delivered to his workplace on the University of Colorado medical campus.

And sources say over the past several months, Holmes spent about $15,000 as he was putting together his deadly arsenal — guns, chemicals, explosives, and ammunition.
I am supposing that all these purchases were legal. If I was the owner of Bulk Ammo, I would have called the police. Same with UPS all these deliveries didn’t set off any red flags?
Suspect Bought Large Stockpile of Rounds Online
Unhindered by federal background checks or government oversight, the 24-year-old man accused of killing a dozen people inside a Colorado movie theater was able to build what the police called a 6,000-round arsenal legally and easily over the Internet, exploiting what critics call a virtual absence of any laws regulating ammunition sales.
With a few keystrokes, the suspect, James E. Holmes, ordered 3,000 rounds of handgun ammunition, 3,000 rounds for an assault rifle and 350 shells for a 12-gauge shotgun — an amount of firepower that costs roughly $3,000 at the online sites — in the four months before the shooting, according to the police. It was pretty much as easy as ordering a book from Amazon.

He premeditated this slaughter. He will pay for this while he is alive and when he dies.
