It is today, National Ice Cream Day, July 15, 2012. Since President Ronald Reagan (see, he was an old softie at heart) signed this day into law in 1984. July has been known as National Ice Cream Month across the United States, and the third Sunday of the month is officially National Ice Cream Day. You can go and have an officially sanctioned excuse to indulge an honor our former President.
How do you celebrate this summer delight? What is your favorite flavor? Cone or cup, what toppings?
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!

I do the frozen yogurt place, you go right up with an empty cup an fill it with as many flavors as you want,(I like cookies and cream with a touch of strawberry) then you put you own toppings ( I like coconut)
They weight it on the scale per pound.
It is all self serve.
Unlike the days of the 60’s when they scooped ( one scoop was 12 cents) 2 cents extra for jimmeys.
2 cents extra for a sugar cone.
Really am I that old? yeap
My favorite ice cream flavor was Teaberry that was made fresh. The stores use to carry a brand of Teaberry, but it never touched the flavor of the fresh.
Never heard of Teaberry, had to look it up

The local creamery that was near my Aunts house made it and everytime we went to visit them we would get a hugh ice cream cone. I even remember chewing on a birch branch and it tasted like birchbeer soda.
