Bob Costas gun control rant after Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher  committed murder/suicide. Sad to use a tragedy to advance ones own agenda. Sad and ironic that “God Bless America” is playing in the background.

National Rifle Association CEO Wayne LaPierre said,

People turned on NBC to watch a football game last night. They didn’t tune in to listen to Bob Costas in a way make excuses for a murderer, whining about his social agenda of gun bans in the middle of a football game, and that’s why he’s getting the reaction that he’s getting.”

J.C. Watts to Run for Republican National Committee Chairman?

J.C. Watts to run for Republican National Committee Chairman?  Watts is a former Oklahoma conservative who served in the House from 1994-2002.

Watts said,

My concern right now, and I don’t say this necessarily as a candidate [for RNC chairman], my concern is that as a Republican, every single Republican in America ought to be concerned about what has happened in 2008 and 2012. In this business, if you’re not growing, you’re dying.”

Before being a politician Watts was a professional quarterback in the Canadian Football League.  J.C.Watts played for the Ottawa Rough Riders in the 1981 Grey Cup.

A representative states,

Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news.”

Paulsboro, New Jersey, Shelter-in-Place Order Due to High Vinyl Choride Leak, December 3, 2012

Paulsboro, New Jersey, shelter in place order was issued to residents have been advised, by way of Reverse 911 due to higher than normal levels of vinyl chloride leaked in air, air quality from the train derailment Friday, December 3, 2012.

UPDATE Shelter In Place Order Lifted In Paulsboro, New Jersey

The Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is also being delayed in issuing using a statement with the cause of the accident but are still conducting interviews.

US Coast Guard captain Kathy Moore repeated,

When we began to detect these heightened levels, we pulled the responders, we pulled out work crews, and we pulled local officials away from the derailment site.”

NTSB Chairperson Deborah A.P. Hersman said,

The first concern is evacuating the hazardous materials and making sure it’s safe to enter (the area).”
