US jobless claim rises again. The Labor department reported an increased by 8,000 to a seasonally adjusted 365,000 in the week ended July 28, 2012. Also, factory orders unexpectedly fell in June, the latest sign that the slowing economy is sapping demand. July’s payroll report is released tomorrow.

Home plate umpire Mario Seneca ejects music man Derek Dye for playing “Three Blind Mice” at a minor league game for the Daytona Cubs. It was after a questionable call.
The fans at Jackie Robinson Ballpark kicked up the noise a notch for the remaining two innings of the game, and since the public address announcer was also ejected, a member of the Cubs’ management team stood on a box to announce the players coming to bat
