It’s National Pumpkin Day! Pumpkins are the harbinger of the harvest season, appearing every year as the first sign of autumn. Did you know that the word “pumpkin” comes from the Greek word “pepon,” meaning “large melon”?
NFL Philadelphia Eagles Win 27-7 Vs New York Giants.
I rushed home from a killer spin class, then picked up a Domino’s pizza. Returned home, placed ESPN on and watched the Birds win vs. Giants 27-7. But the G Men made the first TD. Then the Eagle’s defense got fired up especially DeMeco Ryans. They are awesome. Our offense still needs work, can’t have all those interceptions Bradford. I still believe in the long term you will not go deep into the playoffs without a solid O ( that includes the O line b/c the game is won at the line of scrimmage) but defense wins you Superbowl’s.
NFL Philadelphia Eagles Wearing All Black Vs New York Football Giants, Monday Night Football.
Anything to bring a win to the Linc on the national spotlight Monday Night. I do not like waiting for all the other NFL Games on Sunday to complete before I have to view the Eagles on Monday Night. The weekend drags so long.
The Eagles debuted their all black uniforms at home against the New York Giants last year. The Eagles beat the Giants in that game by a final score of 27-0. The Eagles really need to beat the Giants on Monday Night Football next week, so this is probably as good a time as ever to break out the all-black jerseys once again.
Fall begins on September 23, early in the morning at 4:21 A.M. The autumnal equinox is when the Sun appears to cross the celestial equator from north to south. (The celestial equator is the circle in the celestial sphere halfway between the celestial poles. It can be thought of as the plane of Earth’s equator projected out onto the sphere.)
The word equinox means “equal night”; night and day are about the same length of time. This occurs two times each year: Vernal in late March and Autumnal in late September.
In addition to the (approximately) equal hours of daylight and darkness, the equinoxes are times when the Sun’s apparent motion undergoes the most rapid change. Around the time of the equinoxes, variations in the position on the horizon where the Sun rises and sets can be noticed from one day to the next by alert observers.
From here on out, the temperatures begin to drop and the days start to get shorter than the nights (i.e., hours of daylight decline).
I believe I was delivered from my mother at birth doing a 180 degree grand je·té.
Been a devoted dancer since age 9. Never stopped 5 decades later and never will.
I traveled to NYC at age 12 to perform at the Dance Caravan conventions. Wanted to become a Rockette, but did not grow tall enough as you must have had a height of 5’7″. Also, started choreography at my yearly recitals at age 12. Performed on local TV Philadelphia talent shows also did the areas competition circuit.
At 18, enrolled at Temple University where I studied at a professional level. Had a taste of the Masters from Pennsylvania Ballet, Vaganova, and many Professors of Modern dance.
While at Temple University I was also a NFL Philadelphia Eagle’s Cheerleader and a 2 year Varsity Gymnast.
My first National choreography was in Canada of the CFL. I was the director/choreographer of the Ottawa Rough Riders Rhythm Riders Cheerleader/Dancers. We did perform at the Grey Cup, the Superbowl of Canada in Montreal 81′ season.
I had decided to become a professional teacher but the stage was calling my feet. At age 28, first professional dinner theater employed by the legendary Dick Foster’s Spellbound.
