Foreign Policy, Presidential Debate 2012, the Commission on Presidential Debates chose moderator Bob Schieffer and confirms topics for third debate at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida on October 22.

Here are the topics for the October 22 debate, not necessarily to be brought up in this order:
  • America’s role in the world
  • Our longest war – Afghanistan and Pakistan
  • Red Lines – Israel and Iran
  • The Changing Middle East and the New Face of Terrorism – I
  • The Changing Middle East and the New Face of Terrorism – II
  • The Rise of China and Tomorrow’s World
According to the CPD, the format for the debate will be “divided into six-time segments of approximately 15 minutes each on topics to be selected by the moderator. The moderator will open each segment with a question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a discussion of the topic.”
