Pink Floyd: The Great Gig In The Sky.

My Dearest Friend Angelo, brilliant DJ, reminded me of the times we shared this song together. He inspired my improvisational dance career in South Jersey. I was feeling blue and he told me I owned this song when performed. Deep emotional feelings surface down to my heart and inner soul.

Pink Floyd keyboard player Rick Wright, wrote this song, which is about life, gradually descending into death. Hence the angrier and more intense first half with a dying person refusing to “go gently into that good night.”The second half is gentler, as the dying person gives into the inevitable and fades away. Singer, Bryan Adams performed In Egypt, his guitar defaced.

It is a Muslim Country. Enough said.

Bryan Adams stated,

Airport customs graffiti on my 1957 Martin D-18 from Egypt. We almost didn’t get the equipment into the country, and when we did it was all marked like this. There were absolutely no apologies.”

While My Guitar Gently Weeps, The White Album, George Harrison & Eric Clapton.

The Album was released November 22, 1968.

This song is originally from the White Album.

My Mother gave me the vinyl version on one of my Birthday. I never was a Beatles fan but loved this album. My favorite song, My Guitar Gently Weeps.

The White Album was also different from other Beatle albums in that it was specifically mixed for stereo, and The Beatles were actually there to approve the stereo mixes. They’d never been interested in stereo before as their working process had been to mix a song in mono as soon as it was finished, and then leave the stereo to be mixed a while later, almost as an afterthought. Stereo still hadn’t really caught on in England at the time so no-one, not even the Fab Four, particularly cared about it.
