Signal From Pluto to Earth, NASA’s New Horizons Spacecraft.
I had my planets to memorize when I was in private grade school. Pluto was the last one. Still remember them to this day, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.
Ed White was the first U.S. astronaut to exit a spacecraft while in orbit, White spent more than 20 minutes floating in the vacuum of space, protected only by a spacesuit. He moved about using a “zip gun,” a hand-held maneuvering unit, while still attached to Gemini 4 by a tether and umbilical.
NASA’s first crew-created mission patch came on the next mission, Gemini 5. The Gemini 4 crew set a different first. Gemini 4 marked the first time that the U.S. flag had been worn on a spacesuit, a tradition continued ever since. Later flags were embroidered; the Gemini 4 flags were made of nylon.

Hundreds of meteors will fill the night sky tonight called the Perseid Meteor shower. They are bits from a left over comet named Swift-Tuttle. The comet the debris slams into the Earth’s atmosphere and flares up in dazzling meteors or fireballs.
NASA official stated,
Rates can get as high as 100 per hour, with many fireballs visible in the night sky,” ‘Early in the evening, a waxing crescent moon will interfere slightly with this year’s show, but it will have set by the time of the best viewing, just before dawn.’
We will pull a live feed from our amazing all-sky camera located on the top of Mt. Teide in the Canary Islands, off the coast of west Africa, over 8,000 feet up where skies are nice and dark,”
