Donna Summer, MacArthur Park.
My Mother loved this tune. I wish I would have choreographed a dance for her to this song. But she is in heaven and can dance the night away.
I Love and miss you dearly Mom. I did not forget. I talked to Uncle Emil this morning. He called and did not know it was the anniversary of your death. We reminisced for 2 hours. Also Aunt Sue this afternoon. She shared your childhood with me.
these anniversaries are always hard ..but you keep her alive by talking about her. .now I, too, know how special a woman she was – I love that song!!!
I wish I could have been half the Mother you were to me Mom.
Pray for me Mom.
Hi Ceri, I did not know if I could do a light post as it has been a difficult week for me but I asked God to show me the way.
As always HE did.
❤ Donna
Donna, lost my dad a year ago January . .I miss him. He was so smart and I could call him and ask him anything . .
Ceri, you are never prepared for death,( was your Dad an engineer? I believe I remember you writing about him) My Mom developed lung cancer and never told any one she had black spots on her lungs. Four months later, she passed.
This is always a rough time of year for me. But God always is with me.
So sorry to hear about your Father. You must have received the gene of compassion and kindness you display for people/society. Prayers to all the faithful departed.
dear lord,
Eternal rest, grant unto them, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May the souls of the faithful departed
through the mercy of God rest in peace.
It was You, O God,
Who commanded us to honor our father and mother.
In Your kindness have mercy on the souls of our parents,
and forgive them their sins.
Grant that we may see them again
in the brightness of Your everlasting glory.
We ask this through Your Son,
our Lord, Jesus Christ.
in this I pray
amen
