Comfortably Numb, Roger Waters & David Gilmour, Live, London, 2011.
I wished I would have seen the original production of “The Wall” at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. I was a 4-5th year full-time student at Temple University during the formative/passionate years of Classic Rock and Roll. My sister-mother from Alpha Gamma Delta worked at 93.3 WMMR, Joe Bonadonna, was on air radio personality during the afternoon I believe Mark Goodman followed him. Joe gave me a not to be sold LP of “The Wall.” Lots of brilliant rock and roll was exposed in Philly. WMMR was located on the 2nd or 3rd floor overlooking Rittenhouse Square at 19th and Walnut Streets.
I hung out there during live broadcasts with friends from Temple.. Now, that I remember, that was totally awesome. But, back in the day no one was superficial. It was always a party. Music was the magic.
But through the power of the Internet, I can relive and research my days of future past.
BTW, can you tell I become inspired upon brilliant guitar musicians.
Comfortably Numb, Composition, Wiki
According to Rolling Stone, the lyrics came from Roger Waters’ experience when he was injected with tranquilizers for stomach cramps by a doctor prior to playing a Pink Floyd show in Philadelphia on the band’s 1977 In the Flesh tour. “That was the longest two hours of my life,” Waters said, “trying to do a show when you can hardly lift your arm.” The experience gave him the idea which eventually became the lyrics to this song.
This lead to a 3 hr post.
I heard the song on Comcast Cable Classic Rock. South Jersey.
They do not play a video.
So, I went online and Found The Wall revised Wow.
Then, I reminisced.
❤
Every time I hear a classic song it brings back memories, some happy some sad. I can’t imagine a world without music.
Muse, Back then the musicians were artists. As they were the founders of music that has inspired generations. Not like the music of today. Sad, 😦
What amazes me, Some of them are still on tour in their 60’s, incredible.
Music inspired me to dance as a young girl. As my First solo Choreography was to a jazz artist named Masons Williams, Classical Gas.
( time to place a draft for there is a story to be told)

Listen, it is the guitar that moves my soul.
Mason Williams – Classical Gas – ORIGINAL STEREO VERSION
Mason Williams – Classical Gas (Acoustic)
I love the way he played the guitar. I remember songs really well, the names not so much!
