These people will send this country down the drain for a phone. Can you imagine what they would do for a hamburger!
This has always existed the Free phones/landline allotment before Obama under lifeline.
Obama just makes sure everyone is aware of the free government services under his watch.
Anyone that pays to have a cell phone or landline pay a tax that funds these free cell phones/landline services.
Also, no one overseers exactly how these funds collected get dispersed.
Now, they are also trying to tax your Internet service to pay into the USF.
If they tax the internet, how will they be able to spend the day browsing? I know we will pay for it. Just another step to socialism.
There is another government tax being exposed here, fraudulently.

These are those % of your cell/ VOIP tax that no one care to see where the heck the money is going to. Look on your bill, take it out and see the UFC tax. All those ppl that have those Cell phone contracts are paying a % to the UFC fund.
Now they want a % of your internet bill to go into the UFC fund.

FCC Increases Universal Service Fund Rate to 15.3%
The FCC has announced an increase in the Federal Universal Service Fund (USF) Assessment rate to 15.3% effective this quarter. The USF rate is up from 14.1% last quarter and up from 9% a few years ago.
The Federal Government wants companies to be tax collectors for them but discourages such blatant notifications of a tax increase. They “encourage” carriers to add the tax into their rates or just increase the USF line item on the bill (without too much fanfare, notice or attention) in hopes the customer does not notice.

Get a throw away cell. I am tired of all these taxes. I don’t care if your rich or poor taxes will not get us out of this debit. The middle class ends up paying for for all these extra taxes as well. So much for Obama’s promise of no new taxes on the middle class. Who the heck is he kidding?

Get ready for another transfer of wealth via government confiscation. The FCC is ready to tax internet service in order to fund its Connect America Fund boondoggle.
As is usually the case in corporatist nations – Mussolini told us corporatism is the essence of fascism – mega-corporations support this brazen theft.
The scheme is nothing new. “Consumers already pay a fee on their landline and cellular phone bills to support the FCC’s Universal Service Fund.” The “Service Fund” was devised as yet another grand socialist enterprise “to ensure that everyone in the country has access to telephone service, even if they live in remote areas.”
It hardly seems relevant that the FCC lacks statutory authority over broadband. Nowadays, just about the entire government – from Obama’s executive orders to the “Super Congress” – runs by dictatorial fiat.
The FCC’s illegal power grab supported by transnational telecoms has already resulted in the sort of abuses that are routine when the government inserts itself in the business realm.

EDITORIAL: Obama’s Internet tax September 3, 2012
In late July, the FCC — a relic from the New Deal — moved to replace the Universal Service Fund with the cheerily titled “Connect America Fund.” The idea is to impose big taxes on everyone so a pot of cash can be handed over to well-connected companies that provide gold-plated Internet service to people who choose to live in remote locations.
Though most Americans aren’t familiar with the Universal Service Fund, it’s the reason their phone bills are filled with inscrutable federal charges that jack up rates to the tune of $8 billion every year. The system lacks so much transparency that bureaucrats get away with raising this tax every chance they get. In 1998, the contribution factor for the fund was 5.5 percent. Now it’s 15.3 percent. Cronyism and corruption are the inevitable result.
Federal bureaucrats only care about centralizing power in Washington
Congress needs to reassert itself and get these agencies to stay as far away from taxing and regulating the Internet as possible. The Internet’s relative freedom is the reason it has done so well. It’s time for lawmakers to pull the plug on both the Universal Service Fund and the far more dangerous Connect America Fund.

These taxes hurt the middle class the most. I hope they understand this and won’t vote Obama.
America is a shell of what it was. Before you know it will we be another country like Greece or France. France is taking 75% of the wealthy’s money. I would be one of the first to be out of that country. I fear this is what will happen in this country if Obama steals this election.
