New York City high schools to offer “morning after” pills in a pilot program called CATCH, (Connecting Adolescents To Comprehensive Health). In 13 of New York City’s high schools, the Department of Education has authorized distribution of the controversial Plan B hormonal birth control in nurses offices without parental consent. Only 1-2% of parents selected to opt out of the program by form.
New York City Council Speaker Christine C. Quinn stated,
High school students are very sexually active and getting pregnant, so we don’t have that luxury to think that they are too young to be engaged in conversations about contraception and sexual education.”

I was a health education teacher in Philadelphia School system in the 1980’s.

If you are going to dispense these pills at a public funded school, why not require the students to be tutored in birth control education classes. This should be a requirement. Let us educate these young people on choices being sexually active rather than giving them a pill.
There is a disconnect here with the family, school and clergy.
To me the liberals love to take care of your children so they can take their minds and shape them to be followers and not leaders.
