“From Home” After Hurricane Sandy,  a brilliant video filmed & edited by Jon Edwards.  A montage of scenes from Belmar, Point Pleasant & Brian Wenning’s home town of Sea Bright, New Jersey after Hurricane Sandy hit. Martial law prohibits anyone in or out of Sea Bright, one of NJ’s hardest hit areas.

I reside in south Jersey.  I have visited many times these shore communities. My prayers are with these people.

“Hurricane Sandy Coming Together,” Benefit Concert – Videos.  NBC allotted an hour commercial free for a benefit concert to aid victims of the storm that devastated the Northeast of the United States.

This concert raised nearly $23 million, Red Cross and NBCUniversal.

Sorry I did not get this post up yesterday.  I was too emotional viewing.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie  orders gas rationing in 12 counties beginning Saturday, November 3, 2012.

According to a release from the Governor’s Office, citizens of the following counties are now limited on the days in which they can fill up their gas tanks, as per the state Office of Emergency Management: Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Morris, Monmouth, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union, and Warren.

Drivers with license plates ending in an even number will be able to buy gas on even-numbered days, and those with plates ending in an odd number can make gas purchases on odd-numbered days.

It is being reported that there currently are no restrictions on filling gas containers.

Where is Obama? Staten Island residents plead for help 3 days after Hurricane Sandy. Staten Island is one of the 5 boroughs of New York City.

Councilman James Oddo (R-Mid Island/Brooklyn)  commented,

This is like a war scene, I said to myself, I shouldn’t be on the road, and neither should anybody else. Between the flooding and the downed trees it was difficult navigating.”
