Lord, Calm My Heart: Philippians 4:6

Philippians 4:6

⁶do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Dear Lord,

Teach me to be patient,
teach me to go slow,
Teach me how to wait on You
when my way I do not know.

Teach me sweet forbearance
when things do not go right
so I remain unruffled
when others grow uptight.

Teach me how to quiet my racing, rising heart
so I might hear the answer
You are trying to impart.

Teach me to let go, dear God,
and pray undisturbed
until my heart is filled with inner peace
and I learn to know your will.

Lord, Hear My Prayer: Romans 12:12

Romans 12:12

¹²Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

Psalm 40:1-2

I waited patiently for the Lord;
    he inclined to me and heard my cry.
²He drew me up from the pit of destruction,
    out of the miry bog,
and set my feet upon a rock,
    making my steps secure.

Almighty and Eternal God,
Give me, I beseech You,
the great gift of inward peace.

Fortify me with the grace of Your Holy Spirit
and give Your peace to my soul
that I may be free from all needless anxiety,
solicitude and worry.
Help me to desire always
that which is pleasing and acceptable to You
so that Your Will may be my will.

teach me constantly to seek
and to acquire that perfect resignation
to Your Holy Will
which alone brings interior peace.

O Mary Immaculate, Our Lady of Lourdes, Virgin and Mother, Queen of Heaven, chosen from all eternity to be the Mother of the Eternal Word and in virtue of this title preserved from original sin, I kneel before you as did little Bernadette at Lourdes and pray with childlike trust in you that as I contemplate your glorious appearance at Lourdes, you will look with mercy on my present petitions and secure for me a favorable answers to the requests for which I am making this novena. Please watch over the Doctor who will perform a biopsy on me tomorrow, that the result is negative. Also for Nicia, please guard her. The new work environment for Nicia has a positive influence in her life, relieve her of anxiety. Please surround Marjorie with blessings from your Son, Jesus Christ.

Holy Saturday, Jesus In The Tomb, Mark 15:42-47

Mark 15:42-47 ESV

⁴²And when evening had come, since it was the day of Preparation, that is, the day before the Sabbath, ⁴³Joseph of Arimathea, a respected member of the council, who was also himself looking for the kingdom of God, took courage and went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. ⁴⁴Pilate was surprised to hear that he should have already died.^[a] And summoning the centurion, he asked him whether he was already dead. ⁴⁵And when he learned from the centurion that he was dead, he granted the corpse to Joseph. ⁴⁶And Joseph^[b] bought a linen shroud, and taking him down, wrapped him in the linen shroud and laid him in a tomb that had been cut out of the rock. And he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb. ⁴⁷Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses saw where he was laid.
