Ok, I am sick of this weather. If I hear the words polar vortex again, but that was last year. But the below zero wind chills has got me crazed. I know I have exhibited Seasonal affective disorder but the indoor bulbs I need to help aren’t located in the salons within driving distance. I managed a tanning salon for five years. I know with expertise the positive effects of indoor tanning.
But I just want a R/T ticket to the Keys for the weekend. I want the warmth of the sun on my body desperately.
“Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament on the altar have mercy on us!”
Jesus, each time I look at the sacred Host, sanctify my eyes, that they may close more and more to all that is merely earthly. Jesus, each time I look at the sacred Host, send a ray of divine light into my soul, that I may better know you and myself. Jesus, each time I look at the sacred Host, send a flame of divine love into my heart to consume everything in it that is displeasing to You and to set it all on fire with Your love.
Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion – inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.
May the heart of Jesus, in the Most Blessed Sacrament, be praised, adored, and loved with grateful affection, at every moment, in all the tabernacles of the world, even to the end of time.
Jesus Heals The Afflicted: Acts 10:38, Mark 16:17-18, Matthew 9:35
Acts 10:38
38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
Mark 16:17-18
17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues;18 they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Matthew 9:35
35 And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction.
Let the warmth of your healing love flood my Aunt Sue’s entire being, so that her body will function the way it was created to be, whole and complete and renewed in your perfect health.
I ask this through my Lord, Jesus
Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
2 In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered.2 This was the first registration when[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.3 And all went to be registered, each to his own town.4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David,5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed,[b] who was with child.6 And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth.7 And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.
The Shepherds and the Angels
8 And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.9 And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear.10 And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.12 And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.”13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”[c]
15 When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.”16 And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger.17 And when they saw it, they made known the saying that had been told them concerning this child.18 And all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them.19 But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart.20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them.
