Lord, Calm My Heart: Philippians 4:6

Philippians 4:6

⁶do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Dear Lord,

Teach me to be patient,
teach me to go slow,
Teach me how to wait on You
when my way I do not know.

Teach me sweet forbearance
when things do not go right
so I remain unruffled
when others grow uptight.

Teach me how to quiet my racing, rising heart
so I might hear the answer
You are trying to impart.

Teach me to let go, dear God,
and pray undisturbed
until my heart is filled with inner peace
and I learn to know your will.

New Jersey, New Bill Would Allow Drivers To Pump Gas.

Under current law residents are not permitted to pump their own gas. New Jersey and Oregon are the only two states that require attendants to pump gas.

Retail Gasoline Dispensing Safety Act and Regulations requires all gas station attendants to pump gasoline to all consumers.

I hope this bill never makes the light of day. I like having a trained person dispense gasoline to my auto. Why get the smell of possible fumes into your lungs. Why have to were gloves in case you spill the gas in an overfill. Safety and convenience are a concern. The bill also allows for gas retailers to charge a lower price at the self-service pumps.

I am not in favor of self-serve gas in New Jersey.
