The Autumnal Equinox: First Day of Fall 2014.

The word equinox comes from the Latin words for “equal night.” The fall and spring equinoxes are the only days of the year in which the Sun crosses the celestial equator.

I knew Fall was approaching quickly.  In August, the leave were falling from my tree.

We did not have a hot summer. A couple of days in the 90’s is all we got.

If we have another winter like  last year,  16 times it snowed, wind chills below -0 F, I will hibernate. My body cannot take the cold any longer. Feels like it goes right though my body.

I will miss my Flip-flops dearly.

“Winter is cold-hearted.

Spring is yea and nay,

Autumn is a weather-cock,

Blown every way

Summer days for me.

When every leaf is on it’s tree.”

Christina Rossetti

Freedom Tower, 9/11, 2014.

While I was in NYC this past July, I went down at sunset to see the Freedom Tower at the request of my son.   I just popped up from the subway at took photos quickly.  I was not ready to walk around the area.  Now that the Museum in opened, I will make a trip just to experience the mist of the most horrific day in American history.

I worked on Cruise Ships that past by the Towers in 86-87′ on the 7 day trip to Bermuda every week.

Never forget.

God please protect our County.

Today is the home opener for the NFL Philadelphia Eagles 2014 season.  I did grace the field while  I was an undergraduate at  Temple  University behind  Dick Vermeil, Jaws Ron JaworskiWilbert Montgomery, Bill Bergey,  When the Cowgirls came into town, there was Tom Landry and Roger Staubach. This was at The Vet.

I still get excited all these years later.

Yes,  I will always be a die-hard Eagles Fan.
