If we come together we can stop this but if we stand on the sidelines and just watch we are all in peril as a society. We are made to all get along. #soletsdoit

There are 50 days until the election. Crunch time! Here’s a Sunday open thread for whatever’s on your mind…
*****
In Manhattan Thursday night, this happened:
A man wielding an 11-inch meat cleaver gashed an off-duty NYPD detective Thursday evening before he was shot by other officers following a foot chase through midtown Manhattan.
Incoming NYPD Commissioner James O’Neill told a press conference that two other officers were injured in the incident, but did not disclose how those injuries occurred. The detective was in serious condition after reciving a six-inch cut from his temple to his jaw. The suspect was in critical but stable condition at a local hospital.
The same guy came to the authorities’ attention a couple months ago. Here’s why:
Cops found two knives inside Joudeh’s car after answering the July report of an erratic man on Shore Parkway in Brooklyn shout “Allahu Akbar!” — or “God is great” in Arabic.
But the source said investigations by the NYPD and FBI showed Joudeh, 32, was emotionally disturbed and not a terrorist threat.
But I’m sure they’ll do a better job vetting tens of thousands of refugees.
Combine that with a pipe bomb going off on the planned route of a Marine Corps charity run (it could have been a bigger blast but the connected bombs didn’t go off), a stabbing spree at a St. Cloud, Minnesota mall by a man referencing Allah, and on the same day a pressure cooker exploded in a dumpster in New York City that injured dozens. Another device (pressure cooker with cell phone attached) found elsewhere undetonated, and it all adds up to one thing: Somebody’s about to redouble efforts to combat climate change. It’s certainly not as easy to blame the NRA for all this.
Update:
Obama sure knows how to time his “jokes.” Here’s what he said at a Congressional Black Caucus Foundation dinner last night as explosives were detonating in NJ and NYC, and an ISIS-inspired maniac was stabbing people at a St. Cloud mall:
“I don’t know about you guys, but I am so relieved that the whole birther thing is over,” Obama said. “I mean, ISIL, North Korea, poverty, climate change, none of those things weighed on my mind like the validity of my birth certificate.”
Unfortunately, at almost the same time Obama made his remarks, the Chelsea neighborhood was rocked by an explosion that injured at least 25 people. New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio said the explosion was “an intentional act,” and authorities reportedly found a second, undetonated pressure cooker device on a nearby street.
Obama also warned black voters not to insult his legacy by failing to go vote for Democrats in November:
“There’s no such thing as a vote that doesn’t matter. It all matters,” Obama told the crowd at the Phoenix Awards dinner, hosted by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation.
“I will consider it a personal insult, an insult to my legacy, if this community lets down its guard and fails to activate itself in this election,” the president said.

Last month, Hillary Clinton’s campaign was bragging about a spike in small donations:
null
Naturally, there might be a very “Clinton-esque” explanation for all that:
Hillary Clinton’s campaign is stealing from her poorest supporters by purposefully and repeatedly overcharging them after they make what’s supposed to be a one-time small donation through her official campaign website, multiple sources tell the Observer.
The overcharges are occurring so often that the fraud department at one of the nation’s biggest banks receives up to 100 phone calls a day from Clinton’s small donors asking for refunds for unauthorized charges to their bankcards made by Clinton’s campaign. One elderly Clinton donor, who has been a victim of this fraud scheme, has filed a complaint with her state’s attorney general and a representative from the office told her that they had forwarded her case to the Federal Election Commission.
“We get up to a hundred calls a day from Hillary’s low-income supporters complaining about multiple unauthorized charges,” a source, who asked to remain anonymous for fear of job security, from the Wells Fargo fraud department told the Observer. The source claims that the Clinton campaign has been pulling this stunt since Spring of this year. The Hillary for America campaign will overcharge small donors by repeatedly charging small amounts such as $20 to the bankcards of donors who made a one-time donation.
Why not just “overcharge” by larger amounts? This might have something to do with it:
However, the Clinton campaign strategically doesn’t overcharge these donors $100 or more because the bank would then be obligated to investigate the fraud.
Even if it were to be investigated, the Clinton campaign would be completely exonerated because they’d claim they didn’t intend for this to happen.

A Philadelphia police officer was ambushed Friday night and shot eight times. During the ensuing rampage, another officer was shot, one civilian was killed and others injured. Oh, and the gunman hated cops:
A “rambling” note expressing hatred for police was found after a man opened fire on a Philadelphia police officer then went on a shooting rampage, injuring a second officer, killing a woman and wounding three other people before he was shot and killed by police in an alley, authorities said Saturday.
Police Commissioner Richard Ross identified the gunman in the Friday overnight attack as 25-year-old Nicholas Glenn, who was “well-known” to police and has a criminal record.
If Colin Kaepernick is feeling remotely empathetic, maybe he should leave his “pig cop” socks at home for a while, but that’s not likely.

NY bombing
This is the new phase in the global jihad on the West. The Obama administration and law enforcement are looking backwards. This enemy has proved itself to be protean and adaptable. Taking off our shoes at the airport is a global joke.
“Officials probe bombings, stabbings in three U.S. cities in a 12-hour span,” FOX News, September 17, 2016:
Police believe the two devices that were detonated in New Jersey and New York were made by the same person, a law enforcement source told Fox News on Sunday, as authorities move forward with investigations into the incidents as well as the ISIS-backed stabbing rampage in Minnesota — separate incidents that have cemented fears the United States is still a prime terror target.
As of Sunday afternoon, officials have not said publicaly there was a common link between the two bombing incidents, according to New York City Police Commissioner James P. O’Neill.
“I am concerned,” O’Neill said during a news conference. “We have a bomb that detonated and no one apprehended.”
The trio of dangerous episodes began Saturday when a pipe bomb exploded inside a plastic garbage can in New Jersey’s Seaside Park at 9:30 a.m. Investigators eventually found several devices “wired together” that did not detonate in the same garbage can.
The blast location could have proven deadly. Officials said runners participating in a charity 5K race were expected to pass by the area around the time of the explosion – but the start of the race was delayed after an unattended backpack was discovered. As a result, no one was injured.
“We have some promising leads, but no suspects,” New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie told WABC on Sunday.
Several hours later, and just 80 miles north, a bomb detonated on West 23rd St. in Manhattan at 8:30 p.m., injuring 29. The blast appeared to originate from a construction toolbox in front of a building. A garbage can was found mangled nearby.
Authorities later found a second, unexploded device four blocks away. A law enforcement source described the device to Fox News as a pressure cooker with wiring and a cellphone attached, placed inside a plastic bag. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said the unexploded device and the detonated bomb were “both similar in design.” The description of the bombs bore striking similarities to the pressure cooker devices used by the terrorists who bombed the 2013 Boston Marathon.
“You have to assume from the start that terrorism is a real possibility,” Rep. Pete King, R-NY, said on “Face the Nation.” Americans “are always vulnerable to these attacks.”
O’Neill said no group or individual had claimed credit for the New York blast, though police had recovered surveillance video from both scenes and were continuing to canvass for witnesses.
An hour after the New York bomb exploded, a knife-wielding man injured nine people — seven men and two women — during a bloody rampage at a central Minnesota shopping center. During the assault at St. Cloud’s Crossroads Mall, the man reportedly asked at least one victim if they were Muslim and also referenced Allah. ISIS-related media on Sunday morning claimed responsibility for the attack, calling the unidentified assailant “a soldier of the Islamic State.”
The mall assault ended when the attacker was shot and killed by Jason Falconer, an off-duty cop from another jurisdiction, St. Cloud Police Chief William Blair Anderson said. Falconer shot the assailant as the man lunged at him with a knife. Mayor David Kleis said the attacker got up and was shot again three times before finally expiring.
“We are currently investigating this as a potential act of terrorism,” said Richard Thornton, the special agent in charge of the FBI’s Minnesota field office.
The FBI was aiding local authorities and other law enforcement agencies in all three investigations.

This is the problem!
Muslims can’t be “vetted” period. They may talk a good game because they know what we want to hear, or in this case the kids come at a very young age and wouldn’t be screened out under any vetting procedure (except one of TOTAL EXCLUSION). OR, even if they start out more “peaceful” in orientation, some % of them will turn to jihad.
Their adults don’t want to assimilate, they want to take what suits them and piss on the rest. Literally.
Why bring ANY extra jihad terrorists into our country?
Exactly how many innocent Americans should die for such liberal/progressive policies?
NONE, enough died at 9/11! nuf said ❤
