God’s Garden
Remembering my Aunt Sue today. She is with the Lord in heaven. God let me spend time with her, my 2nd Mother before she passed. My Aunt Sue read the Holy Bible from cover to cover she would exclaim with such joy. There is a place in my heart that is only reserved for her. May God give strength to my cousin her daughter, Marjorie and to all children and grandchildren. Especially, my dearest cousin Denise who ministers to me about the purpose life and death. She is such a humble Christian. But My Aunt touched the heart of so many people. She was a Woman of God on this earth.
God of our ancestors in faith, by the covenant made on Mount Sinai, You taught Your people to strengthen the bonds of family through faith, honor, and love. God of faithfulness, in Your wisdom You have called my Aunt Sue out of this world. YOU have released her from the bonds of sin, and welcome her into Your Presence, so the she may enjoy eternal light and peace and be raised up in glory with all Your saints. Grant that I may see my dearest Aunt Sue again in the brightness of Your everlasting glory. I ask this through Your Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ. In this I pray, Amen.
God looked around his garden,
And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth,
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you,
And lifted you to rest;
God’s garden must be beautiful-He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering,
He knew you were in pain;
He knew you would never get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And hills were hard to climb
So he closed your weary eyelids, and whispered,
“Peace be thine.”
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you didn’t go alone,
For a part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
Dear lord,
Lord our God,
the death of Aunt Sue
recalls our human condition
and the brevity of our lives on earth.
But for those who believe in Your love,
death is not the end,
nor does it destroy the bonds
that You forge in our lives.
We share the faith of Your Son’s disciples
and the hope of the children of God.
Our family, Aunt Sue, do you know how many lives you touched
with your humility, as you brought me closer in faith To The Lord Our God.
Bring the light of Christ’s resurrection
to this time of testing and pain
as I pray for Aunt Sue
and for those who love her,
through Christ our Lord
in this I pray
Amen
Aunt Sue,
Remembering you today.
Please pray for me in heaven. You are so close the Dear Lord
Please send me blessings as I have our Faith.
I miss you so Aunt Sue.
All my Heart, Love Donna ❤
