Don’t Cry For Me Detroit! by Tom
Received this in an email. It needed to be a post on my blog.
This is truly an incredible article. We are in deep trouble in this country today gang. I hope this scares all of you into doing something about our immigration policy. For those of you think that this gang of eight immigration bill is a good idea, just keep singing “We Are The World” and embrace multiculturalism, which has never worked in society. The rest of you need to call your Congressman.
Thanks to our elected officials in Washington, this is coming soon to a city near you. You asked for it. You voted for it and now you are getting it.

How Immigration and Multiculturalism Destroyed Detroit
by By Frosty Wooldridge
For 15 years, from the mid 1970s to 1990, I worked in Detroit, Michigan. I watched it descend into the abyss of crime, debauchery, gun play, drugs, school truancy, car-jacking, gangs and human depravity. I watched entire city blocks burned out. I watched graffiti explode on buildings, cars, trucks, buses and school yards. Trash everywhere! Detroiters walked through it, tossed more into it and ignored it.
Tens of thousands and then, hundreds of thousands today exist on federal welfare, free housing and food stamps! With Aid to Dependent Children, minority women birthed eight to 10 and in once case, one woman birthed 24 kids as reported by the Detroit Free Press—all on American taxpayer dollars. A new child meant a new car payment, new TV and whatever mom wanted. I saw Lyndon Baines Johnson’s “Great Society” flourish in Detroit. If you give money for doing nothing, you will get more hands out taking money for doing nothing.

If we don’t get control over who comes here, most of America will look like this. When cities start to go down hill the working people who can leave will.
Another City in Ruins. Detroit will never come back either. We know who is taking over there, don’t we?
Oh, yes we do. This is a city that no one wants to put money in. It is the sew of the state.

[…] Don’t cry for me Detroit […]
I feel it is my civic duty to share my “American” reaction to the email posted above. I know we live in a world of information overload but I would be happy if you would pass this on and share it within you circle. Thanks.
Some background; I come from a very small town in Michigan about 40 miles from Detroit. It was considered “typical small town America” at its best. I had everything a young boy could hope for; 3 older brothers, non-stop sports activities, we lived on a lake so year long water activities of hunting, fishing, swimming, boating, water skiing, ice skating… Everybody knew each other and you usually greeted the store owner by name as Mr. or Mrs. So & So when you went downtown shopping. We had no bars on our windows and I rarely even remember locking our doors at night. At the time I didn’t know it but when looking back I can see we really had it all. Not because we were rich. We were considered middle working class. But what we did have was that true Christian moral fiber that once made America great. This was the foundation of our family and community; beginning with a father and mother who loved each other and believed it was their God given duty to do their best to raise their children to love God and teach them the Golden Rule of loving your neighbor as yourself. This was the America I once remembered.
But it was only later that I began to realize that this American Dream was mainly “for white people only”. I remember when the first black family came into our town and their kids started to go to our school it was such a shock; I can only imagine the discrimination they must have suffered. Very early as a teen and young adult I could easily see that the “American Way” was great at “talking the talk” but very poor in “walking the walk”. As an ideal youth of the 60’s, we could see the hypocrisy and double standards all around us in the political, religious and social systems which disgusted us. We all grew up seeing Kennedy killed, by who? We still don’t know. (Maybe we should ask Snowden?) Black people being assaulted, raped, arrested and killed was the accepted normal; as was the fate of the great leader of the Civil rights movement, Martin Luther King. I saw the youth rising up to bring about political change, only to be met with oppression and violent reactions from authorities and even in some extreme cases shot down and killed in cold blood by the National Guard like at Kent State. But if anything was the big eye opener for me it was the War in Vietnam. “Vietnam”? What was that? Where was that? Why are we fighting there? Have they done something to harm or hurt us? It just didn’t make sense; but apparently it made lots of dollars. What do I do with an image like this staring at you on national TV? How do you just forget about it?
Fortunately, today we now have many people that are beginning to understand what went wrong; summed up in a few words, “Greed and the Love of Money”. That in order to maintain the “American Dream” for a few, many had to be willing to fight the wars, feed the war machine or manage cheap labor and manufacturer things to somewhat satisfy a working middle class to keep the peace, safety and security for the ruling “moral” majority. However, the problem was that in order for the rich to keep getting richer two things had to happen: 1. the poor had to keep getting poorer which brought its consequences; and 2. when the laborers began to demand minimum or a “living wage”, as good working slaves should receive, American products were no longer competitive. So began the next profitable step of the “industrialist” revolution AUTOMATION, which replaced the need for much previous labors. But that only went so far. Soon the industrialist realized if they were going to be able to compete in Global markets they were going to have to move their manufacturing bases to places where they would find non-American Blacks, Hispanics, Mexicans, Asians that would work for almost nothing, etc.. But what about those American Whites, Blacks, Mexicans etc back in Detroit?? Well, to hell with them. The bottom line and name of the game is make profit and follow the money; the only way for the rich to be richer.
You know it’s human nature and interesting how people always like to try to blame others or something on all of their problems. This article, although it undoubtedly makes some vital points about the causes of the Detroit problem, overall its a bigoted, white supremacist, racist, self righteous piece of white trash; if I may give my humble opinion. Ha! You know, I fear such people like this more than the problems of Detroit. You know why? Because it is such blinded, self righteous, religious people like this that are going to push the Blacks, Mexicans, and other racial/religious minorities in America into picking up guns and resorting to violence to defend themselves. Recently, we had this Hispanic watch guard in Florida who shot and killed a 17 yr old unarmed black kid in his front yard. He was acquitted under Florida’s “Stand your Ground Law”. Well I have news for the “White Minority of America”, you are not the only ones with guns and know how to use them to “stand your ground”. Beware!
I think its time for the “Christian” people in America that hold such views as this author to wake up themselves and see this is the America that they created. By the way, where did all these Black people come from? Why do we have all these Mexicans all over the place? After all, who was going to pick their cotton, make their cars, take out the trash, clean the streets, grow their vegetables and pick their fruit? We have gone from a Nation of the majority of the population being farmers to a Nation with a prison population greater than the number of farmers! I wish I could say something optimistic and end this on some sort of positive note but if the true red-blooded white Americans continue to single out and isolate racial and religious minorities using them as scapegoats for all of their mistakes and problems I can only see things going from bad to worse. The only way to change the world is to change the heart of man and that change needs to come first from those who say they know God. If we are talking about the same God then we’re taking about a God of love that loves all people; “red and yellow, black or white”. I think that is also the same God as the one “In God We Trust” on the US Dollar and the same God that gives us our religious civil liberties guaranteed by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
IF YOU LOVE the GOD of the HUMAN RACE and AMERICA … PLEASE PASS THIS ALONG
Sincerely,
Ricky
