National Cat Day, October 29.

I love cats, they are my favorite animals.  In 1980, I had my first cat given to me Cougar. Tiger was a kitten that appeared at my front door in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada in 1982. We were leaving to live down in the States again so off he went to the Vet to receive his shots to enable us to cross the border into the USA.  Moondance came in 1984. They were such a joy in my life. I will be a caregiver again to those little furry creatures that give you unconditional love soon, very soon.

Jesus Walks on Water: Mark 6: 47-48, Matthew 14:26-29.

Mark 6: 47-48

When it was evening, the boat was in the middle of the sea, and He was alone on the land. 48Seeing them straining at the oars, for the wind was against them, at about the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea; and He intended to pass by them.

Matthew 14:26-29

26 But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, “It is a ghost!” and they cried out in fear. 27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”

28 And Peter answered him, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” 29 He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus.

Dear Lord, let my faith be full and unreserved, and let it penetrate my thought, my way of judging Divine things and human things. Lord, let my faith be joyful and give peace and gladness to my spirit, and dispose it for prayer with God.  Let it surrender to the testimony of the Holy Spirit.  In this I pray, Amen.

Matthew 14:26-27 But when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, “It is a ghost!” and they cried out in fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”:

Faith, Hope, Peace and Love: 1 Corinthians 13:13.

1 Corinthians 13:13

So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Holy Spirit, open my eyes and calm my mind. Give me the recollection of the Father’s love, of the Son’s unceasing prayer, of the world as God’s world and of your own presence within me.

Holy Spirit, give me Faith. Holy Spirit, reveal to me the truth of the Father’s unfailing purposes, of the Son’s victory and risen presence; the truth about myself – sinner yet child beloved of God.

Holy Spirit, give me Hope. Holy Spirit, give me Peace; peace with God and peace with people. Kindle my desire for you. Strengthen my will to live and serve. Teach me and lead me where you will.

Holy Spirit, Give me love.

In this I pray,

Amen

Love Conquers All: Proverbs 10:12

Proverbs 10:12

Hatred stirs up strife,
    but love covers all offenses.

Dear Lord, Make me an instrument of your love. May I see each circumstance in my life as an opportunity to grow in your love. May I see my environment as a place to grow in your love.

In This I Pray

Amen

God Heals The Brokenhearted: Psalm 147:3.

Psalm 147:3

He heals the brokenhearted
    and binds up their wounds.

Isaiah 30:26

26 Moreover, the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day when the Lord binds up the brokenness of his people, and heals the wounds inflicted by his blow.

Dear Lord, You invite all who are burdened to come to you. Allow Your healing Hand to heal me. Touch my soul with Your compassion for others; touch my heart with Your courage and infinite Love for all; touch my mind with Your Wisdom, and may my mouth always proclaim Your praise. Teach me to reach out to You in all my needs, and help me to lead others to You by my example. Most loving Heart of Jesus, bring me health in body and spirit that I may serve You with all my strength. Touch gently this life which you have created, now and forever.
In this I pray, Amen.
