Psalm 103:1-5

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
    and all that is within me,
    bless his holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
    and forget not all his benefits,
who forgives all your iniquity,
    who heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit,
    who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
who satisfies you with good
    so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s

Place Your Faith In The Lord: Psalm 146:8

Psalm 146: 5-8 ESV

Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
whose hope is in the Lord his God,
who made heaven and earth,
the sea, and all that is in them,
who keeps faith forever;
who executes justice for the oppressed,
who gives food to the hungry.

 the Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down;
the Lord loves the righteous

What is Faith?

 It is responding to the Lord’s instructions regardless of what one might see or feel. It is trusting God to the extent obedience is the only option. Put your faith to work; obey God.

The Coming of the Holy Spirit

Pentecost Sunday: Unafraid of the Flame that Does Not Burn

Acts 2:1-4 ESV

When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested[a] on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God

Loving God, as a mother gives life and nourishment to her children, Bless these women, that they may be strengthened as Christian mothers. Let the example of their faith and love shine forth.

 God our creator, we come before You and lift up in prayer all mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers and mothers to be who gave the gift of life. We give you thanks for their presence, talents and gifts which they share in our church, society and world. May all mothers know of YOUR loving and gentle presence and may they always turn towards YOU in times of joy, sorrow and glory.

Almighty and Eternal God, Lord of both the living and the dead, Your tender mercy embraces all people foreknown to be Yours by faith and a good life. Through the intercession of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary our Mother,  grant Your merciful pardon to all mothers for whom we pray, whether they still are living in this world or have departed from this flesh into the world to come. Especially, dear Lord, grant the requests I now make of You for my own beloved mother. Civita.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

In this I pray

AMEN
