The Autumnal Equinox: First Day of Fall 2014.
The word equinox comes from the Latin words for “equal night.” The fall and spring equinoxes are the only days of the year in which the Sun crosses the celestial equator.
I knew Fall was approaching quickly. In August, the leave were falling from my tree.
We did not have a hot summer. A couple of days in the 90’s is all we got.
If we have another winter like last year, 16 times it snowed, wind chills below -0 F, I will hibernate. My body cannot take the cold any longer. Feels like it goes right though my body.
I will miss my Flip-flops dearly.
“Winter is cold-hearted.
Spring is yea and nay,
Autumn is a weather-cock,
Blown every way
Summer days for me.
When every leaf is on it’s tree.”
Christina Rossetti
