Ed Snider, founder of the NHL Philadelphia Flyers, Passes 83 years old.
Ed Snider brought the first professional championship to Philadelphia. I walked the parade route in 1974 down Broad Street with my cousin Marjorie. I believe it started the tradition of a parade after a championship in all professional sports.
It has been reported that Mr. Snider was battling cancer.
May you rest in peace.

MLB Phillies Ryan Howard Crush HR, Spring Training.
Viewed my first spring training game on Comcast this week. Seems like Howard is on a roll, HR last night beating Tampa Bay.

Philadelphia Cop Shot Execution Style In West Philly, Spruce and 60th Streets.
This is very disturbing to me, just swore in Philadelphia’s New Mayor, Jim Kenney.
This is my City of Birth, Philadelphia. I live East in south Jersey now. Philadelphia is a ‘Sanctuary City.’

Cira Centre South, Philadelphia, PA.
The skyline of Philly is looking so different. I remember back in the day when no building in the City which would rise above this statue, William Penn above City Hall. That ended on March 1987 construction of the One Liberty Place skyscraper, which exceeded the height of William Penn’s statue atop Philadelphia City Hall. But I do miss the old Post Office at Market across from 30th Street.
The 49-story, 730-foot FMC Tower fronting Walnut Street will offer panoramic views of the Schuylkill River, Center City and Penn Park. The mixed use tower will house the global headquarters of the specialty chemical company, FMC Corporation. The University of Pennsylvania will be a major office tenant leasing 100,000 GSF for administrative offices. The tower’s upper most floors will contain 260 extended stay luxury apartments, operated by a.k.a Korman Suites. An amenity floor bridges these uses and includes a spa and fitness center, private room for entertaining, and a conference center. The lobby level will feature an upscale restaurant.
